Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Tobias Keene brings a bit of unabashed Southern hospitality to all his patients. He moved to Washington, D.C. over thirty years ago as a freshman at Ivy College. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries. Carter has worked as a senior-level resilience consultant since 2018, and most recently served as a Director with BDO USA’s Risk and Resilience team where she oversaw projects for major companies across the retail, technology, biotechnology/pharma, energy, and real estate sectors. She continues to run projects for BDO as an independent contractor. From 2016 to 2018, Carter led crisis management for the Americas at Apple, where she was responsible for responding to incidents and protecting the company’s operations, personnel, and facilities throughout North and South America. Her experience also includes five years as a Senior Director and Director with boutique consulting firm The Chertoff Group in Washington, DC, where she worked with public and private sector clients on supply chain security, cyber, crisis management, health preparedness, and infrastructure protection projects. She previously served as Plan Manager, Weapons of Mass Destruction, with New York City Emergency Management (NYCEM). Carter received her Master of Public Health (MPH) from Columbia University and a BA in History from Yale University.
